Anyone recall the Public Relations horror that was the EdStone, Ed Miliband's holy tablet?

I was very surprised to see it at Neville Holt Hall in Leicestershire when I was there to watch the Opera last weekend. As far as I recall it had been bought by The Ivy Restaurant group and was in London. Neville Holt is the home of David Ross of Carphone Warehouse who is a Tory supporter.

Reading it back with the benefit of hindsight that seems to be firmly to the right of what we currently have.

They are all great aspirations.

The problem is that most Labour policies in recent decades would likely achieve the opposite of each and every one of them.

They're vague sound bites at best.

You listen to Miliband now and think back to that monstrosity and bacon sandwiches and just scratch your head.
