Tomatina in Spain

HI everyone

I am arranging a stag do and going to go to this event Nr Valencia at the end of next month ( Its the massive Tomata throwing festival)

has anyone been and have tips? IE do you need tickets or is it just turn up? Whats it like getting into the village on the day?

I have hotels booked in Valencia and was just wondering if there is anything I should know about.
