Speed awareness course central database?

I attended a speed awareness course at the start of this year after getting clocked doing 35 in a 30 by a mobile camera van in Bedfordshire; I have zero points on license as a result.

Think I’ve been flashed by a static camera today coming into a 30 limit in Buckinghamshire (bringing mum back from Stoke Mandeville Hospital, violins please!) and was probably doing 36-37 indicated so probably 34-35 actual hence the flash.

Will be a fair cop, totally stupid and just wasn’t paying attention; got a new car (SQ5) and it’s a lot quieter also eco mode doesn’t reduce speed as quick as my old M4 did.

The thing I’m interested in is if I will be offered a speed awareness again or will get a straight 3 points. I seem to remember on the NIP the last time it said I couldn’t attend a speed awareness course if taken one in Bedfordshire in the last 3 years. As this will be Bucks (Thames valley) will I be offered a course or is there a central database where speed awareness course attendance is logged and held on record for 3 years?

As my memory serves, from when I did mine:
There were two types (now three, I believe) - Speed Awareness & Motorway Awareness and you could only do one of each in a three-year period, at the force's discretion. Doesn't matter where you did one, you can't do another one so I'm fairly sure there's a central database.

I have a zoom course this week for "failing to comply with solid white line road markings" i did a SAC 18 months ago but I'm sure it's a central data base that will only offer one course per different offence within three years, annoyingly i genuinely don't know what I did and there's no supporting evidence as this is only produced this if i plead not guilty but then loose the chance of the course... So £88 Three hours sat in my office drinking coffee and move on....

Maybe if it was a true 34 and a bit you will be safe, just a waiting game now

Ticket arrived in the post today. Was doing 35.

My OU tutor reckoned he'd been caught speeding several times and had just done the courses when offered, having ignored the three year rule. At least one of those times he'd been caught in Sussex. I was really surprised when he told me, but he wasn't the type to lie about it.

So perhaps there isn't a central database.
