Hi All
Not 100% sure what i am after any suggestions/help would be great.

I am looking (i think) for a vinyl cutter, i would like to make my own signs for a pub A frame board.
At the moment i am using a chalk board and the paint pens but feel this look cheap.

So my requirements are i need to print or cut into the vinyl about 100mm high words, with the option to go bigger but not huge.

I am not sure how these things work so a quick rundown would also help.

Thanks in advance
Andy

My wife has a Cricut machine for cutting vinyl. She uses the software on her iPad and just sends it to the machine via Bluetooth. Lots of info online about the machines. I did see them in Costco last time I was in there.

If I were you, i'd get a 610mm wide plotter. For what you need it for, it doesn't have to be brand new, just working condition / refurbished.

You'll need the software to go with it, "signlab" is a popular one, but there are generic variations. Essentially you need it for creating your plot files and then sending it to the plotter, bit like a printer. You'll also need a roll of application tape for masking up the vinyls.
