Which chat tool between teams W/ search function.

Hi

Wondering if someone here could make some recommendations?

I manage several teams through Europe. I need a chat tool that each team can communicate with my customer, per channel.

So far, it sounds like MS Teams would be best, and it would be, but the search function isn’t doing what I want.

In Teams I need to be able to do a partial search.

For example: if we have a case number of 123001, 123002 etc…
In teams I’d must search for the full case number- but I need to be able to do a partial search with just 123, and that is what Teams can’t do (or at least I can’t find a way to do it)

Any tips?

MS Teams is a dumpster fire. We use Slack, as does most of the digital agency world and everyone I know who uses it likes it.

Most people just use it like WhatsApp but for business. You can set up "channels" for specific topics or departments or whatever that are essentially group chats. That's the very basics. It's a great, easy to use, reliable remote working communication tool.

If you’re already are in the Office365 world I’d look at Yammer

If you need to communicate with people
Outside your organisation Do NOT Use MS Teams. My current place uses Slack and the search is fanstastic. To the point I almost don’t use the company intranet as I know someone historically will have shared a file i am looking for on Slack and it’s easier and faster to find.

Previous place used full blown Webex, teams, meeting and calling and it was pretty good too although YMMV as lots of people are on limited versions

Both Webex and Slack are excellent for adding people outside of your org.
