Cool Cold War stuff there. Berlin, British embassy, spying for the Russians.
Hopefully a hot KGB agent involved too and Rosa Klebb types from SMERSH running it all, rather than just some boring grubby handing over some cash for documents.
I must admit to having the James Bond theme running though my head as I read that.....Hopefully a hot KGB agent involved too and Rosa Klebb types from SMERSH running it all, rather than just some boring grubby handing over some cash for documents.

I need you to go to Berlin and visit the station chief there, seems there’s a plan to mess up the launch of the new US space shuttle using an atomic radio beam and someone is leaking secrets to the Russians.

BBC quote "He allegedly passed documents to Russian intelligence "at least once" in exchange for an "unknown amount" of money.
at least once, what is less '0'. or allegedly no documents were passed.
what a load of rubbish. Please BBC stop sensationalizing every story.
Or at this moment in time they know / can prove he has done it once, further investigation may find other, historic, instances. at least once, what is less '0'. or allegedly no documents were passed.
what a load of rubbish. Please BBC stop sensationalizing every story.

"At least once" = he's probabaly done it more than once, but they don't know or they can't prove more than one occurance. at least once, what is less '0'. or allegedly no documents were passed.

"Allegedly" = he hasn't been convicted yet, innocent until proven guilty.
Hope that helps.

Unfortunately real life spying is a lot less interesting (I have a friend who used work for GCHQ - though of course he would say that wouldn't he I need you to go to Berlin and visit the station chief there, seems there’s a plan to mess up the launch of the new US space shuttle using an atomic radio beam and someone is leaking secrets to the Russians.

It means they are pretty sure it happened once and quite possibly that it has happened more than once. Take the dunce cap and sit in the corner.at least once, what is less '0'. or allegedly no documents were passed.
