Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Whenever I try to send a photo via normal text, (IE: the messages are green because the recipient isn't using iMessage) they just fail. I have tried rebooting, turning MMS on and off and on again, resetting network settings etc.
Help!
Are you sure you want to send a picture by MMS? Most carriers charge 25-55p per message.Whenever I try to send a photo via normal text, (IE: the messages are green because the recipient isn't using iMessage) they just fail. I have tried rebooting, turning MMS on and off and on again, resetting network settings etc.
Help!
Your better option would be a messenger app like WhatsApp. Free to use, free to send pictures and video within your data subscription.
Will the pics send to iMessage users as normal?
With RCS rolling out in recent years it's caused all sorts of niggles re. MMS, such as some OEMS's not updating their proprietary messaging apps to support RCS, some networks turning off MMS now that the functionality is more than covered by RCS etc
It could be any number of things really.
Try sending it to an android phone which is using the messaging app below, which fully supports RCS;
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com....
If it works, then you have an answer, if not it's one thing eliminated at least.
Apple still don't support RCS, instead having their users rely on iMessage only.

Connectivity issue maybe?
Have you tried sending via What'sapp, Facebook messenger to name two other ways?
I have the same problem with my iPhone and if anybody texts me from an android phone I get a message to login to the provider's (in my case Vodafone) web page with a password to see it.Have you tried sending via What'sapp, Facebook messenger to name two other ways?
My provider's shop, and help line told me to use whatsapp which is OK but not everyone I know has it.
I have MMS enabled on my account.
