Thinking of sprucing the cerb up a bit and thoughts turned to wheels .. car is starmist green and currently sitting on standard saturns, but i also have a set of 17inch rl7s which i bought to go on .. however I really like the look of yoichi's wheels in the pic ..

what other styles suit the cerb other than saturn / rl7 / spider / sp12 .. anything slightly unusual but still good looking?

Those wheels do look good, and a great pic from yoichi as always. I also like that the roof looks a darker colour, makes the cerb look even sleeker.

My search for wheels took me on a bit of a crusade to find the lightest wheels that would fit. I was fed up of crashing about on the heavy spiders so my motivation was more performance than looks - I think the spiders look ace. I looked at Advan, Enkei and all the usual suspects and eventually settled on the weds sport TC105X. See GermanCerb's thread, he also has some great looking wheels - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I went for 18x9.5 ET45 rear and 8x17 ET32 front, and they fit very well...

I like that they're the same colour as brake dust smile. Finished off with some generic black centre caps from ebay.

About 5Kg saving per wheel compared with spiders, the difference is very noticeable.

Loads of wheels that are aesthetically and dynamically superior to the OE fit stuff..

I quite like my XXR's as a reasonably priced option ~9kg and a decent fit..

Theyre nice but look too much like spiders ..

there was a white cerbera owned by someone called i think david morgan which had lovely wheels .. sadly can't find a pic and i think it was exported anyway. They were a delicate spoke and i think were BBS ..

will try and see if i can google bbs wheels and see if there's anything similar

Thanks Jhonno! Suitably enhanced by the nice background. These wheels are light and really strong - no pothole damage whatsoever. Have forgotten the make but if anyone wants to know I can look for the receipt.

Never been one to follow fashion. everyone seems to be following the 5x2 spoke effect. rolleyes

If I were seriously looking then I would go for the Mag omes, like Mike.

You could then get the centres in any colour you prefer...thumbup

I don't follow fashion either Paul, I went for the lightest I could reasonably afford/justify.

I don't think you can buy those wheels Mike has. If you can they'd be well out of my budget (£10k a set?).

Jules, looking at the plate cut out on your Cerbera, is it a Japanese import?

Well after saying that i wanted something a bit out of the ordinary i've completely gone against that and bought a pair of 18inch RL7s to go on the rear and partner 17inch RL7s on the front .. thanks anyway to all who contributed smile

Well they're a great looking wheel, what's the reasoning behind bigger rear wheels? I know another chap has done the same.

I think slightly bigger wheels on the back always look good, plus it allows you to keep the 17s front wtih a slightly taller sidewall to protect the rims .. I'm not a fan of 18s on the front with rubber band tyres, but on the back with a decent sidewall they will be fine ..
Wasn't looking for rl7s at all but was offered a pair of 18s , agreed a price, and they're coming on monday smile
