I may miss some things but I'm pretty certain I'd see zombies with eyes hanging out, half jaws, neck wounds and groaning and people screaming getting ate alive.

Depends, if they didn't moan and groan that much, then probably not. Most of the locals shuffle about like a zombie anyway, it's just the general zombie moaning and groaning that is missing, some of them even look like zombies.
