Which for the missus, GTI or Audi Cab?

Partner has two options on a company car (same price) she can either have (both brand new):

Golf GTI
Audi 1.8T Sport Convertible

Personally I'd prefer to 'borrow' the Golf from time to time, not so much the Audi, However I think she would prefer driving the Audi (nor is she bothered about performance). Plus each car could get keyed by numpties, but the Cab has the potential to have the rood slashed (especially given the fact her family live in Salford and she is there a lot...) Oh and I don't think she would have the roof down much anyway!!

GTI all the way??

If she doesn't care about perfomance, she'll go for the audi without a doubt.

As much as you would like to get the GTI if the ultimate decision is hers I fear you will be disappointed...

There is a 3 door GTI outside my office today. It's black with that little red part around the grill and looks suprisingly good.

I have suggested she get either a new Boxster or M3, I pay the difference and she can have my 330 sports coupe - got told were to go!!

I want to convince her the GTI is better all round, but then she'll probably choose the Audi, therefore I may try to convince her to go for the Audi in the hope she picks the opposite to what I want!
