My 2009 318d auto engine seized, can I replace it with an engine from a manual 318d / 320d ???

No, I didn’t want a recon and the price of a rebuild could only be determined after a full strip down to see how much damage had been done.

I cut my losses and sold the car for spares/repairs. I don’t think I lost much compared with the cost of a full rebuild. An engine swap would have been much much cheaper but buying a used engine came with its own risk and I couldn’t be arsed with it anymore! :lol:
