Hello to the PH collective - usually here under another name

I have a small online business that has exported some goods to the EU, and to Norway, all without hassle.

I received an order from Australia and so filled in all the documentation what I thought and was told was appropriate.

It got stopped at Heathrow customs and was told by DPD the paperwork wasn’t complete for Australia. Could I fill in this form in incredible detail and send it back? This I did.

The package went all the way to Australian customs and has now come back and is sat in my kitchen in Aylesbury…. For this privilege, I have paid £43 to DPD. I have asked for an explanation as to what went wrong, but so far, nothing has happened.

I have been informed that sending it FedEx would remove all the issues, this I don’t quite believe...

Is there any website out there that can inform me exactly how to do this?

I am particularly concerned as to where the taxes get paid/don’t get paid.
