I have been offered a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe SE Auto.. It is truly mint and the seller wants £8k.. The mileage has just hit a genuine 15k but is this still a potential money pit? Or from experience is it worth the risk at that price?
I love the car but worry that I am paying all the money already with nothing held back for big bills..
Any advice appreciated..

That’s a bargain for sure

Just looked at an advert for an 07 Z4 30Si with 52k asking £17k

They’re pretty bombproof mechanically you could buy it, photograph it against a white background and ask £25k with some appropriate prose

Tough one to price. Condition and mileage is clearly a big draw.

The issues with N54 engine in these are well known. Fuel pumps, water pumps, watergate rattle, injectors, DSC/Hydro unit and rocker cover gaskets. Probably worth asking if any of these have already been done if you are planning on piling on the miles.

Not trying to scare you off - I’ve just swapped from the N54 engine in these to the B58 in a 340i and have to say I much prefer the character and power delivery of the N54.

Looks are subjective, but I’d also be put by the fact it’s not an M Sport Model.

Sounds a fair price. Not much will be worn out at that mileage. Re SE/M Sport it’s not hard to change an SE to M Spec spec. (M Sport Susp isn’t very good anyway compared to decent aftermarket stuff)

Sounds like a decent price to me. What would be your plan for the car? Daily or weekender?

As mentioned above, the engine is a known quantity.

IMO SE spec really suits the E92, looks really clean without the M Sport bodykit. cool

Sounds like a decent price to me.

Given the potential issues mentioned, could you get a BMW warranty at that mileage for some peace of mind?

And everyone on the Z4 forums are laughing at that ad.

But I'm sure (I think) that the OP's talking about a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe SE Auto.

What relevance is that?
