My 'graunchy' 4th Gear....

Hello All....

I'm a newbie to all this TVR mallarky but I've just bought an 01' Tuscan with 23k and I'm having a bit of trouble with the gearbox. First gear is an absolute nightmare to engage, (at a halt mostly but when moving is tricky too) and 4th Gear seems noisier, harsher, and causes more vibration than any other gear and at the same revs. Is this normal? 'Do they all do that sir?'

Well, no, they shouldn't do that. I'm not sure how to help though. First probably worth checking you have enough brake/clutch fluid, but that wouldn't explain the 4th gear vibration.

Sounds more like a syncro problem rather than a clutch problem but obviously check transmission fluid etc first...

Definatly not right, I agree with the clutch fluid for 1st gear but have no idea about the vibration except a very low revs maybe?
