Local newspaper journalists are getting a bit of a reputation for just blagging stuff off social media rather than doing any actual reporting. But even by local news standards this has to be a new low. I had to check that it wasn't a parody website. It isn't.

You can't go anywhere for a walk without finding poo bags hanging in the trees, so I'm not sure why this one is so newsworthy. I rekon they've nicked the story from the Suffolk Gazette biggrin

Yup, definitely a shame the police have to point out the obvious. Good of the local press to point it out to those who don't use twitter though. As you say, the same story could be reprinted by every force/local rag simply by changing the name of the park.

It’s a shame they didn’t publish a hotline, for people to dob these lazy cretins in.

Living in Suffolk I'm glad stuff like this makes the news. Hopefully because there isn't much else to report.

Good point well made, still deserves persecution though.

It's perforation not persecution that catches me out.
Never let your dog evacuate near holly.

Not being a dog carer I had to think about that for a moment, and then the penny dropped hurl

This is my hometown and I’m thoroughly ashamed. When I read this article I became apoplectic with rage and I’m now standing in my garden with a pair of binoculars in my free hand, watching for any suspicious behaviour.

If, before meal, you gave a dog a small plastic bag to eat, would it come out ready wrapped?
