A new thread for mild venting at how the general public let themselves down.
I’ll begin. Brought the car to a specialist so staying overnight in Portsmouth to save another 7hr round trip. Generally very impressed with all the old bits and naval history. Noticed a massive uptick in aggressive, antisocial driving from Salisbury down, but I digress.
Southsea shingle beach. Lovely spot to soak up the sun and watch the shipping traffic. Young family, 2 blokes, woman, 3 young kids (6-9ish). It’s obviously a regular activity…Dad and friend threw coke cans in the water for the kids to throw stones at. Gently floated away, zero f
ks given.
I mean, the only saving grace is that they won’t become microplastic but really… really?!

People - generally, I really don't like. I don't know how anybody can posses discontent for animals and our natural world enough to want to litter or harm the eco system.
Not just litter, just general ignorance and lack of awareness of other people are their feelings. How hard is it to carry yourself in a manner that is respectable and considerate? Difficult for the majority, sadly. I actively avoid associating myself with anybody who believes they are the only being that matters in their lives.

The general littering, mainly courtesy of Messrs McD's customers, is an ongoing issue hereabouts yet rarely other takeaway packaging! Make of that what you will...
Culling the weak and stupid was always nature's way to protect the species, and the environment necessary for the survival of the strong and clever in the wild. Only our species are prepared to support the stupid and weak but that's too difficult to confront as a caring western civilisation!!!

I grew up in Luton. Portsmouth is the only place I've lived in that makes Luton look sophisticated.I’ll begin. We used to have wars for this, I'm sure half the time we'd get together with the French and say we'd field 100k chavs each and the winner wink wink would be the side with largest amount left.It would probably put an end to half those that have nothing better to do than ponder how to be offended this week.
Not sure on the thought process with littering, went to the gym yesterday evening 5.30 until 7 ish, came out and the car park was mostly empty of cars which showed all the crap dumped from them, BCAA drink containers, takeaways and god knows what. £50 a month and full of all manner of fancy cars and cant be arsed putting stuff in a bin ?
Was in Anglessey in May on the beach one evening and saw a teenager throwing bottles at the rocks, where kids play every day, I wasn't very pleasant with him.
Any honesty system, generally gets stolen from or abused, the little farm I cycle past stopped doing eggs via that method as someone just took the eggs and the cash. Why take one of something, take it all whether you need it or not.
Toilets, dont flush, piss all over the place, maybe wipe st on that walls ?
I volunteer on old planes, leave anything open, you get someone damaging or stealing stuff, they will take anything as a souvenir, spend a load of money on brand new perspex windows and someone carves a smiley face into it.
Return home at 2am with your stereo blasting, slam the doors and have a chat outside.
Leave a bike anywhere, chances are it will get nicked.
Leave a nice car somewhere, good chance it will be keyed.
Hanging bagged dog turds on trees.

The problem is that these days there appears to be a huge number of people who exhibit ignorance and antisocial ness like it’s some kind of badge of honour. A way of life that involves driving somewhere to buy some (usually) Chinese made tat, then throwing it into the sea. Been watching a series on you tube following a guy who sails around the pacific, he visited Henderson island, one of the most isolated places on earth, but is also the most pollluted beach in the world from plastic. Since ww2, we have ruined just about the whole planet.

Yep, it’s incredible now that people just go camping/for a picnic and just leave everything there. Utterly mindboggling. I am lucky enough to live on the west coast of Scotland, and we are having real problems with people who simply don't seem to care. "Wild campers" who are known locally as wild stters, going to the toilet wherever they are stopped and leaving st and toilet paper behind, along with rubbish and the remains of their camp fires. People who bring axes and even chainsaws to cut down trees/fence posts anything that can burn.

Took the bike to the peak district for a day trip. Was following an old clio with four lads in it down an idyllic single track road, an empty coke bottle came out of the window followed 10 seconds later by a coke can. I flashed and honked the horn but left it at that as there were four of them and if they stopped the car I would have no escape route.
