Anyone got a lap time for an Exige S2 and 111R around the Nurburg Ring ?

Clarkson took 9.59 in that diesel S type
New ford transit took 10.11 (i think)

What would the Exige S2 and 111R do and what is the track record ?

Probably too many long straights for the Exige S2 and 111R (ie bailing out at 150mph) ..... i guess it excels around tracks with loads of corners ?

Well in my first day in my S1 i went round in 9m49s and the highest speedo speed i touched was 125.

I reckon low 9 minutes is easily achievable when you have got a feel for a track it is very scary

I believe the record is held by a dutch 7 type car with an audi 20V T lump in.

But the whole lot including GP circuit is held by a porsche racer

Times for the 'Ring for the Exige & 111R wont be that impressive as it is a very fast track and you spend so much time above 100 mph where a 1.8 litre car will (comparitively) struggle.

the ring has some very long high speed straights and this is not what the exige is about, it works best on fast corners an short straights the exige has good acceleration up to about 110 or so and then it will start to fade for a car to do well round the ring you need a top speed of 150 - 60 otherwise you'l loose a lot of time on the longer straights, i expect the 240r will post a good ring time

There is one part of the ring that you do need power though saying that is the long sweeping corners approaching the first karussel they are on a slight incline and the cars do struggle
