DB9 Manual Volante for Sale (not mine!)

Found this for sale this evening. Very rare manual DB9 Volante in a lovely colour combo (in my opinion) AND low mileage. If I didn’t already have my green one, I’d be buying this. No connection otherwise!

I believe there are a few more manual volantes - roughly 60 in the UK.
However they’re very rare in non-silver or black - I believe mine is the only manual volante in British Racing Green in the UK, sadly my mileage is rather higher!
I reckon it’s probably a reasonable asking price given the above and the very low mileage.

Can you see how many are ‘08 or later (when I believe manuals were an option new buyers needed to request). I’ve never seen a ‘08 or later on the market since buying mine 9yrs ago.

Maybe….. unless you’re looking for a non-silver/black Volante manual and you’ll pay what’s needed.This is the first one I’ve seen for sale in 9yrs!
On this forum there are only 3 of us:
- Yeti in Chiltern Green
- Matthew in British Racing Green
- Me in Rothesay Red
When I bought mine, I knew it was the only one in that colour combo. It was hard to hide my excitement whist negotiating!!

Probably unsurprisingly, I totally agree with Daniel; I’d bite the seller’s arm off for it at £55k if I didn’t have my green one already and I reckon as the autos become more dated, the manual price-gap may increase, hopefully enough to cover the cost of a new clutch next summer....
The only thing I have against this particular car is that due to its age, I believe it may have one of the Cologne-built engines susceptible to the dreaded “tick”. Happy to be corrected on this point though!

Yes early engined car so susceptible to the engine issues and iirc a dipstick issue that could lead to false oil readings.
Disappointed I left a manual DB9 appx 5 years ago and purchased a Vantage.
Sold prior to me being able to view it, £38k iirc.
It was a lovely hue of dark blue / violet with cream, coupe not Volante though.

There are a series of data tables on this page
