Firstly can I say that the cars you listed are all reliable & rust would not be an issue unless what you're looking has been in a smash.
At your price point you'll get a very nice Astra GTC VXR which are cracking steers:

Up here in rust-land (West of Scotland) we get to see what cars are prone to rust quicker than everyone else.
In my experience, Fords and Mazdas still rust quicker underneath than any other brand - exhausts, brake calipers and dust shields, suspension components etc etc. Anything over 5 years old might still look fine up top but can be a pain to work on underneath.
Within the extended family they own a Focus, Kuga, Edge, 4 x Fiestas between 1 and 6 yrs old - I've had a Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo and wouldn't have another Ford I planned to keep long term based solely on under-crustability!
If you live somewhere really dry - crack on

You might scoff at my first suggestion, but these 1.4 TB's are really reliable engines, and Alfas are no longer prone to rust since they started making them from galvanised steel in the late 90s. This one here had its timing belt done recently, so should be good for another 5 years or 72,000 miles and has nearly a full year on its MOT. Quick steering and a punchy engine make them fun to drive:

Vauxhall Astra GTC

Low mileage FN Honda Civic Type R

Slight wildcard maybe - Honda S2000, certainly fun to drive!

I enjoyed that last wildcard so much, here's another - Nissan 350Z - the VQ series engines are very strong reliable engines, capable of well over 250,000 miles. This one only has 36,000 according to the advert and also falls into the lower tax bracket as it's pre-2006

Toyota GT86?

There's also a SKODA Octavia VRS but I'm not sure about that 2.0 engine and if carbon builds up on the valves?
