leather cleaner...

I spilt some super glue on my drivers seat today...


b:censored:d to get off. result a couple of small patches of leather peeled but more of a problem the rubbing has caused some clean patches!!!!

Can anyone recomend a good cleaner so I can tr4y and blend in the cleaner bits...

Spoke to a bloke at our last meet, imaculate Wedge... and he swore by Jiff (or Ciff as it is known know)... his interior was a nice bright cream, and with a little work it also cleaned all the stiching that had discoloured grey/black.

Gave it a go after that discussion and it came up pretty good. Only problem I found was that the 'pattern' on the centre console, door panels etc seems to trap dirt really well. Only thing I could find to shift if was a toothbrush. Make sure you clean the Cif off totally or it goes chalky.

The Flash eraser is very good just wipe away the dirt, its very good. Just make sure you use a leather cream after any of the above cleaning methods to put back the moisture in the leather.

I find autoglym leather cream is pretty good. Smells a trifle evil on your hands afterwards but does the job nicely.

I will second jif of sif or whatever it's called to clean them as well.

I`ve always used Glyptone leather restorer and conditioner on my seats. It works a treat and the smell after conditioning is wonderful ! I always buy mine at autojumbles and car shows, but I think it can be ordered on-line. Price £10 for cleaner and £10 for the conditioner.
