Who to look after 997.2 GT3RS

IME, when you talk to people running these things, whilst OPC is good, the indies, nowadays, will often have more experience with these cars and certainly of the ones that are used properly. Lots of stuff needs checking/doing that really is not on the radar of the OEM servicing schedule.
I'd say:
I'd say:
- RPM
- Fearnsport
- Sports & Classic (if you want to head north rather than south)
I don't run a warranty on the car anymore. touch wood but the car has been very reliable bar the usual ignition barrel and exhaust muffler splitting issues which was fixed under warranty.
I don't track the car so it doesn't get the wear and tear it's built to be subjected to.
So doesn't really matter to me if the specialists are better if the OPC can do a decent enough job and I get to maintain a decent relationship with them as well as full Porsche maintenance history

For cars not tracked, I'd certainly agree my inclination might be more toward OPC.So doesn't really matter to me if the specialists are better if the OPC can do a decent enough job and I get to maintain a decent relationship with them as well as full Porsche maintenance history
The problem is, especially when tracked, whilst very tough, reliable machines, time has shown there are a few issues which need non-OEM solution. Prime example here is the coolant hose issue: https://www.sharkwerks.com/tech-articles/the-gt1-c...
Are the renown specialists above any cheaper than opc? I think gone are the days that they are. Think they are at least perceived to be more expert than opc and can command the same prices or thereabouts.
They will also recommend fixes that may not be Porsche approved or parts which they find better suited. On the whole, I think they are better but if you intend to keep the car original then opc is no worse IMO
I find some things difficult to choose. Eg welding or pinning coolant lines. Opc doesn’t do this.
Or changing the clutch/ flywheel to rs4.0 from our rs3.8
Think will need a specialist for those changes even if they make a ton of sense. And you should do the lot together.

Car now sold but, 997.2 GT3. 45k miles. Bi annual service and 2 year warranty at OPC. Local garage for MoT. Upgrade to 4.0L clutch, LWFW and cup diff by RPM. This seemed a reasonable balance. Interestingly when it came to an OPC 2 year service and warranty renewal they either didn’t notice or made no comment on the chatter from the LWFW/4.0L clutch combo
