Noticed faint glow from the battery light as I put the car in the garage last week. Otherwise running great.

Got round to looking at it today. No battery light showing.
Getting the same 12v+ at the back of the alternator and the battery, so 100a fuse seems ok.

I’ve got a 100a midi fuse - anyone had experience of the cracking like the standard ones? (Didn’t have a spare midi to hand to replace).

Getting 14.5v at the battery when running so alternator looks ok. Belt relatively new / tight, tensioner working, so guessing not slipping.

Anything else to check for or just ignore as a random occurrence?
Thanks

Not known to crack but worth getting under there and checking it and the connections are ok.

Check fuse 16. If it has dirty contacts the resistance will produce a volt drop. Fuse 16 is the 'car' side of the charge light.
The charge light, whilst the engine is running, should be seeing the same voltage on both sides of the filament. In this state the bulb will not light. If the voltage is low on one side the bulb will glow.

The same dirty/loose connection could occur anywhere in the charge circuit.
