New girlfriend wants me delete all photos from before we met

So I'm nearly divorced, just waiting on the absolute part. New girlfriend and it's serious. I'm older by 20 years and Catholic, she's Muslim, traditional family.
New girlfriend has recently asked me to delete all my old photos from social media. I only have FB. Coincidentally all my photos from the last 20 years were corrupted and lost while ironically backing them up. So FB is the only record I have left of the last 20 years.
She says seeing old pictures of me with someone else is hurtful to her and I would delete them if I cared about her feelings. This is also apparently a deal breaker for our future together.
I told her don't look. Which she also said was hurtful.
So, am I being mean, thoughtless and hurtful?
Is she being manipulative and controlling?
Something else?
