Yep, based in Germany AIUI. Initial delivery was very prompt but I cocked up the order and the returns process/communication via email was a bit slow. I eventually rang them which worked much better.

Have used them before and delivery was only a few days but.... ordered a couple more tyres on the 16 August- supposed to be delivered today to the fitters- now delayed until next Tuesday at least.

This has put me right off them now- would have rather spent a few more quid and got them fitted sooner.

Pretty sure it’s a German company, I’ve used them before and they were significantly cheaper on like for like tyres than the main UK companies. Great service too, and I also checked the date stamps on all four tyres when they arrived and they were brand new (not always a given in my experience).

This was quite a while ago mind you, not sure of the current state of play what with Brexit and Covid to blame for all sorts these days.

I used to use them but since brexit their prices aren’t as competitive so they’re not really worth the hassle.

I once ordered wheels from them and they only sent me 3. They didn’t seem to think there was much problem with that.

I used them recently, had one successful order (the (front) tyres must've been in the UK already as it was a 1-2 day turnaround), ordered the rear pair and had a nightmare.
Took over 4 weeks to arrive, tracking info was less than useless, had to buy another pair before they even turned up - I wouldn't ever use again. Black circles for me next time, despite the few quid higher price.

Based on my employer's recent experiences, and we import and export a lot of hard goods to EU and non EU countries, customs delays can be extreme, and pretty much all the parcels firms have lost the plot on tracking this year.

Unless you know it is the supplier that cocked up I would always tend to assume it to be a customs and shipping issue these days.

Otherwise known as Delticom. They are German, based in hanover and have higher online tyre sales than anyone else in Europe.

From my previous dealings with their UK arm (mytyres), the UK subsidiary (sales/support etc) is run from Scotland.

Yep used them many times over past 8-10 years- part of the Delti Com group.

Also used another subsidiary, Giga-tyres.co.uk which were even better on price.

Never had an issue, used to be really good for winter tyre prices etc.
Delivery to your local fitter was easy.

Also used to be able to pre-order new tyres that were not in stock - nice if you know an updated version of tyre is to become available.

Also used Camskill - pretty good too.

I have recently purchased 4 tyres from Mytyres.
The tyres come from Germany or Poland.

Delivery was at least a week longer than their estimated delivery time.
This is due to Brexit extra paperwork.

If you read the reviews on Trustpilot, most complaining about long delivery times.

Ordered 4 Winter tyres 24 Jan 2023.

They've lost my order and have no record of having dealt with me.

Never again. Avoid.

Of course you have the email confirming your order, or payment confirmation?
How is it possible they can then deny your order was created.

I have used them a fair few times always good prices and delivered as per orders.

Been a few years since i used them, Tyreleader consistently cheaper, both companies reliable on deliveries.
TL made one mistake, one of the tyres they sent in a bathc of 4 was the wrong size, they sorted that in double quick time.

Mail order isn't for people who leave tyre buying to the last minute, but can be rewarding for those who plan well ahead and keep an eye open for bargains as they crop up.

More recently i've found UK suppliers, eg Camskill and E tyres, to be better value than the euro suppliers but may not always have the extensive choice that the big euro suppliers offer if you have specific makes in mind such as Nokian/Vredestein, you pays your money...

Doesn’t surprise me. I had an utter ball ache dealing with them with some winter tyres.

Ordered four tyres from Giga Tyre (same company as MyTyres) and they delivered two of them after about three weeks waiting. Apparently they didn’t have any more in stock so I was left missing the rears - they never informed me.

Went online and found them available at MyTyres for £30 extra per tyre, which was odd given they’re the same company. Anyway, couldn’t find the tyres anywhere else so stumped up and they arrived three weeks later - halfway through winter by this point. By now I’d paid for six and received four.

Two months later I was still waiting for the refund for the missing two tyres. Lots of chasing and it eventually came through after a four month wait. Then this autumn I checked my bank statement and there was another refund from them for the same amount, about 8 months after ordering. So I think I’ve now only paid for two but received four. But their emails, receipts and invoices are so confusing that it’s very difficult to work out what I’ve ordered, what I’ve paid for and what I’ve been refunded.

Point being that their accounting is terrible and any issues take months to resolve. Coupled with the customs delays getting them into the country means it won’t be a company I’ll be using again.

One incident that had slipped my mind.
Some years ago my usual tyre fitter wasn't available so i used the fitter search function on Mytyres to find a local, happy with the price quoted online bu the fitter cahrged me some 50% more claiming the website was wrong.

I contacted Mytyres, not to complain but merely to let then know their website was out of date re price being charged by this particular fitter, a few days later saw an apology from Mytyres and a refund for the cost difference, they updated the website re fitting costs.

I’ve used Camskill a few times recently with great success. You can't go wrong with a company run by Northerners in Cumbria...

I've used them countless times over the years without problem. But the last set of tyres I bought took an age to arrive (approx 5 weeks). They kept saying it was UK customs issues. So probably wouldn't use them again and source from a UK based supplier.
