DB9 hesitation and lumpy

Hi everyone. If have just recently got my DB9 back from the dealer after they had it for over four months fixing a roof issue and a full service.

I have just driven the car from east Anglia to Yorkshire and half way the engine started playing up with hesitation at low revs when stuck in traffic and in D mode.

The engine emissions light came on and the car became really difficult to drive in D as it was going to high up in the gears and the rev’s low. But it I changed to paddles and kept the car a gear down from normal and the rev’s above 3000 no issues at all.

So I now have a lumpy idle, the car literally shakes a small amount every few seconds and you can’t drive the car in D and I am 300 miles away from home.

Any advice, I can leave the car here as it’s at my parents home but wondered whether it’s ok to drive back using paddles and any ideas on what the issue may be.

Sounds like coil packs or spark plugs causing a misfire - personally I'd not drive it and call the dealer. Normally any random messages I'd suggest a battery, but mid-drive, less so. Good luck!

Does sound like coil packs to me too. But 4 months of not being driven maybe you have issues with the fuel having "gone off"

Thanks. Fuel was drained and filled up with premium before the journey. I have been leaning towards coil packs as well.
