Did anybody else see that programme about swingers late last night on channel 5 i think it was.

I found it truly bizarre that people find the need to spice up their sex life to such an extent that they invite strangers into their own homes for the purpose of group sex am i just naive? is this "normal" practice?

Dont get me wrong there certainly didn't seem to be anything fundamentally wrong with these people i just could never imagine me and mrsfhc "entertaining" other couples or going to one of these parties.

Can't see the point, myself.

If a couple is in need of something THAT drastic sex-wise, then they shouldn't be together.

There's plenty to do for two.

Exactly what i think, which is why it really surprised me that these people all came across as happy couples who were well adjusted to the fact that their partners were getting banged by strangers infront of their very eyes.

A few years back me and my ex were invited on a "skiing holiday" by an aquaintence we knew to be bisexual and into the swing scene.

Wasn't quite sure which one of us he was actually interested in.

Nope, I've still never been on a skiing holiday....

And yes, true to form, he is grim and extremely sleazy. Never met his wife, but I can imagine.

I've never really seen the appeal of inviting a couple of porky strangers round to roger the missus. Still, takes all sorts I suppose

Yeah they always seem to be :-

1. Fat
2. Ugly
3. Bad hair
4. Mid 40's
5. Wearing some kind completely unflattering, skin tight, leather outfit.

Not my cup-a-tea.


I had a mate that got into this, every time we were out he'd suggest me and the misses came round for a 'skiing' trip.
Don't see him anymore, the tw@t. Shame really used to be a really good mate.

each to their own I spose, not my bag but I guess if people want to do it & it doesnt harm anyone then whats the problem ? (although agree, you never see a load of good looking people on these programmes!)

You imply that the above list doesn't make them "not your cup-a-tea" anyway!!

Quite agree.

There was a similar programme on a while ago. The people involved were without exception unattracive and clearly inadequate. Some of the blokes preferred "watching" to taking part which probably explained what they were doing there to start with.

On the other hand, it's probably a realisation that as you get older you don't need that sexual possessiveness that afflicts the young.
So you can put it about a bit but still have that comfortable middle-aged existence that you've worked so hard for... and no grief from the other half about having affairs
I suppose the difficulty for many couples would be the risk that one partner would 'get more' than the other...

I actually know a couple who did this, she wanted to try it, he reluctantly went along.....she left him afterwards for the person that she had "swung" with!!

Have a feeling the "swinging" was a bit of an excuse on her part!!
