Questionable covid rules

What has been the strangest covid rule you have encountered.

I am currently sat in a pub where you can order at the bar in person but when they do table service, due to covid rules, it has to be through an app you need to download, they have to leave the drinks on a tray on a separate table where you need to collect - but you’re not allowed to pick up the tray which means a drinks order of more than 2 drinks needs to be collected multiple times or with more than one person.

First world problem but covid gone mad.

Similar in a recent pub visit. I could order at the bar and drink my drink without a mask but other people sitting down would have to put on a mask from their table and order at the bar. Apparently its a 'grey area'.

All of them.

The scary part is how few people seem to see how preposterous they are. To give an example, I am watching the F1 on sky where the presenters are standing outside in masks, then they go into their commentary box with no masks........

It's not a rule* though is it? It's a company policy I assume, of which I agree there are some mad ones, Greene King seem to make things the most difficult

Every pub I've been in since July 19th has thankfully been completely normal.

This does not have to be just covid, people just love making up rules, most are based on misunderstanding or just dumb prejudice.
If when faced with the question why they had to explain the world would turn more smoothly.

The bringing the drinks over and putting them on the table but not taking them off the tray is a odd one to me, a few places do it, it doesn’t limit the amount of time you’re in contact with the staff nor does it reduce the amount of people touching the glasses, also considering they then bring the food over and place it in front of you just makes it weird


My doctors, you’re not aloud in the building, full stop, to get your prescription you have to go round the back by the bins, knock on the window and then they pass your prescription out the window like some seedy drug deal. This is one of those split GPS abs the other side is working completely as normal. Pathetic
