Tvr service history records,,

Hi

I have recently bought a chimaera. Which is missing the first 9 years of it’s service history.. once upon a time the dvla would have revealed a list of previous owners.. which presumably might have included dealer information. However, in 2017 they reneged on that due gdpr (and/or uk equivalent).

As I understand it, (from searching through pistonheads forum entries from back in the day), the original approach was that any dealer would carbon copy service records to the factory.. (there are ph forum posts that state this).

When the factory folded, does anyone know where this aggregate database ended up?

Are you missing both the stamped pages in the handbook and the receipts?

I believe there are car records held by the TVR club, dunno if you are a member or not, Richard Salis (may have the name wrong) is, or was the clubs record keeper, might start with them, but again have no idea if service records were recorded and kept on file.

I have no handbook. I have a folder full of receipts from About 2006 onwards, which in some respects is better than a handbook (as it is mileage and number plate referenced invoices) however I have nothing prior to 2006…I’d like to fill this in for various reasons..
