What do you reckon this is? Injector seal?

Noticed this on my motorhome today. It’s the Ford 2.2 unit. Engine runs and drives fine and there are no nasty lights showing on the dash.

Is it oil or fuel?

Does appear to likely be injector seal if its oil. If its fuel then the pipe/connection to the injector has a problem.

If it's not carbon with it then most likely fuel from the union imho

It looks more like oil to me - certainly looks like it and doesn’t smell of diesel! Injector seal then by the sounds of it. Shouldn’t be too nasty 🙂

Has it not got a leak off pipe running between injectors, they often leak.

You have to take out the injector to replace both the rocker cover seal and the injector copper seal anyway, they are cheap enough to buy so just replace both

Have seen the injectors themselves leaking before though
