Collecting Cars - strange bidding?

Has anyone else noticed some strange bidding behaviour on Collecting Cars?
Some people bidding high on a number of different cars.
Not low-ball bids but offers right at the top of their retail values.

I think it's been asked a couple of times but have seen the odd thread locked / removed when it's been brought up before.
