It's one of the early XJ6 mock ups, from c.1964 / 65. The pics were taken at Sir William Lyons' home, Wappenbury Hall in Warwickshire.

I've not seen that before.

It was legend that the slightly challenging dropping line of the boot on the XJ40 was due to the clay model sagging. This design suggests it was meant to be that way?

(assuming this is xj40 prototype - if not someone was ahead of their time..)

Liverpool has cleaned up its act.. now they leave the car & just take the bricks.

I remember reading book about the xj40. It's design seemed to be years in the making. ..

This design (xj6???) Looks good but would date very quickly. The end result was genius
