ECU tune resistor
Discussion
Serviced the P&J (94 chim 400) at the weekend...generally everything OK except that the plugs were a little black / sooty.
Fitted new K&N filter from ACT (cheers tim), new plugs, checked the dizzy, etc, etc...car seems to run better now but there is still the occaisional miss or stutter if you know what i mean, usually at about 2500/300 rpm.
By chance i checked the details of the last service by a main dealer and it said that an incorrect ECU tune resistor is fiited. The bible states that my car, fitted with cats, should have a white type resistor. Haven't checked yet but assume mine is incorrect.
Questions...
Is the resistor easy to replace? Its next to the battery yes? does it just plug in & out?
Could this cause misfiring / hesitancy? or black / sooty plugs?
Thanks in advance for any replies
