Slightly OT but I love the Daily Mail talks about Fahrenheit when it wants it to sound hot and Celsius when it wants it to sound cold. hehe

And another in 6 weeks, "Snowmageddon" or "Thundersnow" they will be threatening, or this year they will be saying its an "Armed Weather bd".

It sells papers, drives website traffic and gets us excited.

I thought they always used Fahrenheit because Mail Online is based in New York and the stupid yanks writing the stories can't use proper scientific units.

Been miserable in Suffolk this weekend, we have put the heating on today.

In fact it has been miserable most of July and August.

Be fair, we had 4 days of sun in July. And fine in Europe.

Today has been the first grey day in North Devon for the past week as far as I can remember.

Been to the beach 3 out of the last 4 days for a few hours, in the garden and BBQ’s for dinner. Today dry and cooler but still gardening weather.

Agree that aside from a few hot weeks it has been cloudier, cooler and wetter than the last few recent summers though.

This August must break some records for lack of sunshine hours.

It hasn't exactly been hot or cold, just 19 degrees and 100% cloud all bloody month.

Been pretty nice where we are - Cheshire Plain - for over a week. Bit warm yesterday for car washing and gardening. Today's been dull all day but very comfortable temp around 20C (it's still 17C now), dead calm so it feels a bit sulltry.

Click Bait.

Nothing raises interest more than a story about hot, super cold or any other 'unusual' weather.

Climate change / global warming innit they need us to believe it’s getting hotter haven’t they signed up to a 1.5degree limit for global warming or something? Bring it on I say 1.5c would be nice right now. I’ve just put the gas fire on.

Agreed, thought I was just being a grump but weather has been pretty pants for the past few weeks, very little in the way of summer. Over the weekend it was that annoying half season whereby it was glorious in the brief rays of sun and then Baltic otherwise.

Sunnies on, jumper off, sunnies off jumper on, repeat ad nauseam

At least the British GP in June didn’t get rained off!

Guaranteed though that the Met Office will tell us that this summer it has been hotter than ever. rolleyes

It makes them a st tonne of money because weather stories seem to be hugely popular. The Daily Express are infamous/notorious/experts at this nonsense.

It's been pretty dry, judging by my garden frown
