Picky point I know seeing as you seem to have other things to do, but your air intakes, although nice, are directly above the exhaust manifold sucking in hot air. Surely it would run much better if they were rerouted to suck in cold air. Hope you back on the road soon

must admit I always found that strange on that S. The usual piping to the airbox was dispensed with and it cant do much for the intake.

Must admit, I was talking to Simon last night..(prev owner) about the K and N's. Seemingly the owner before simon popped them on.

Not the best design in the world are they? Unless I lift them up a bit and cut a hole in the bonnet

I'll be fettling away on it soon, so will try to change things around a bit.

Oil breather, not checked that bit yet, but so far have fixed the mirrors, windscreen going in tomorrow, one hinge fabricated, so not bad for a few days.

Sorry mate, hole I made was in the wrong place..

What you could try is to put some ducting from the plenum to the front of the car where you've sited the K&Ns and providing its well insultated you ought to not suffer from the hot air going into the engine I used to once in a while.. I'd keep the K&Ns, do make a nice sucking noise..

Speaking loosely of which.. Still feel like an ex girlfriend is now seeing a mate and I'm being told by by him how well its all going..

If it's any consolation she and I have a great future

ps. Mirrors fixed and on, windscreen being put in tomorrow...£200 fitted, and a proper tvr jobby by a chap that has lots of experience with tvr's

If he rips the dash, I'll rip his ears off. He knows that so he should be careful....nice chap though.

He will loose a damm sight more than his ears if he rips the dash.. Chap that cocked it up 1st time for me swore he'd done loads of them before, but I started to get suspicious when he asked if Triumph still make these cars.. Took about 10 minutes to get a few inches of the mastic off, then by the time I'd got inside and out again with 2 mugs of tea, whole thing was off and the dash ruined. He did paint it with boot black so I'd not notice, which I suppose was kind of him..

Complaint to manager was received with, 'well its not as if its a new car is it?' Ct Really not happy.

Still, sorted in the end..

Must admit Simon, you do seem to have a knack to positively sort things out....whereas tact and diplomacy has never been my strong point.

Never noticed that one. Seems to migrate down the inner wing, dumping all them bad fumes into our lovely atmosphere. Cud do with a small breather filter, £15 from Halfrauds I think
