I'm in the process of designing a house and garage for a prospective Lamborghini owner.

Anyone know what the overall heights of the Murcielago and Gallardo are, with the scissor doors open?

...would be a bit embarrasing not to give enough ceiling height in the gargae! ;)

No worries with height if it's a Gallardo as it's got conventional doors.

Just worry about width. Its 1.93m doors closed!

Seeing as the Murci is outside I've just been and measured it. With the doors up you need 2.2metres of height minimum. With the foldaway mirrors extended you need 2.3metres of width minimum. Mirrors folded 2.2metres..

Thanks, Chaps - especially Simon for taking the trouble to go out with a tap measure!

Didn't realise the Gallardo was conventional doors...seems a shame as this is one of Lamborghini's trademarks since the Countach.

Width won't be a problem - I'd taken that into account already - but 2.2 metres is getting a bit marginal if he ever wants to hang stuff from the ceiling, so I'll build in a bit of extra headroom over the norm.

Cheers!
