Clutch master cylinder outlet pipe
Discussion
Started the job of replacing the clutch and brake master cylinders today and hit 1 snag.
The union (male fitting) into the clutch master cylinder would not budge so we had to cut it off, hence I now need a new pipe. (between master cylinder and the metal bulkhead in footwell)
I believe it is 3/8" unf male each end with approx 15 inches of 1/4" 22 gauge copper pipe.
Can anyone confirm that and any idea where to buy it ?from master cylinder

Searching through some old threads on here it looks like the connector block on the inner wing could be 7/16" unf?
Wouldn't surprise me if Master cylinder was different !
Find all the bits on Ebay and ask local garage if they can flare the pipe for you?
If you happen to be anywhere near Redditch I have the tools and could do it for you.

Clutch master has a 7/16" UNF outlet
Thanks for confirmation, backed up by Mark at RacingGreen too.Hedgehopper said:
Racing Green sell this part ready made. Probably more expensive but at least all the thread sizes should be correct.
Thanks for that and yep its Q0104 but no stock at moment and at least 2-3 weeks lead time from today. Also according to Mark at racing green
On later cars the (post 96'ish Master Cylinder thread outlet is 7/16 UNF 20 tpi.
The bulkhead block union is less certain and could be metric or imperial.
Once again thanks all, hope parts en-route are suitable. Will give feedback when then arrive.

Use the old nuts if any doubt about thread size rather than mess anything up?
With the pipe cut off you should be able to get a single hex socket on the seized one in the master cylinder if you've not butchered it too much trying to get it undone

Not trying to teach anyone how to "suck eggs" but if you lay new nut along side old one you'll soon see if threads match perfectly

Cheers Mike, nut at bulkhead is good so will use that and cylinder end is mashed up so going to use a new one. Suck8ng eggs is not a bad thing, good reminder. With the pipe cut off you should be able to get a single hex socket on the seized one in the master cylinder if you've not butchered it too much trying to get it undone
