Taliban troops.
Discussion
Always thought that the Taliban fighters were just a rag tag bunch of nuts in dish dashes and turbans waving AKs about but....
yesterday on the news I see shots of squads of men in outfits that looked like US special forces. Proper camo uniform and desert boots, webbing, body armour etc
Mostly AKs and some US rifles.
They looked disciplined and orderly.
First time I have ever seen this, they certainly looked more professional than the ANA.

The Americans have armed and equipped them, very nicely too
In fact they’ve given them $83bn of equipment, I think they must be really good friends

Well you could say the USA gave $83b to its defence manufacturers keeping them working paying corporation tax and then all the employees paying tax and buying stuff with their wages they otherwise wouldn’t have had. In fact they’ve given them $83bn of equipment, I think they must be really good friends
The servicing of those specialist kit is by the US companies only too/closed protocol.

I thought that the Taliban were a product of the CIA.
https://www.britannica.com/topic/mujahideen-IslamDidn’t they simply shift from the above to the new name Taliban & ISIS and IS and xyz.
Mujahideen we’re utter savages - skinned their POW alive and fairly close to the front line to enemy troops could hear clearly what happens.

They’re the Badri 313 Battalion, a ‘special forces’ unit of the Taliban Army. If you see any Caucasian looking blokes in there, they’re probably Chechens or other mercenaries from outside Afghanistan.yesterday on the news I see shots of squads of men in outfits that looked like US special forces. While this was happening, the people who would be founders of the Taliban were studying in a Madrasa in Pakistan.
Despite what people like to say on social media, they are not and never were the same group and the Taliban would go on to defeat most of the groups who fought against the Russians

Muhaideen groups were funded and aided by the CIA against the russians, but mainly funded by Middle eastern players.

While the Mujahideen we’re fighting the Russians, funded by the CIA, as many people as possible sent their kids as refugees to Pakistan…who were taken into Madrasas…who were indoctrinated into extremism with the collusion of the Pakistani government…who grew up and returned to Afghanistan as Taliban.
