Evening all

Just realised that my trusty e90 330i is due an MOT expired last week.....). It's missing a cover for one of the headlamp washers (I have the part, but I haven't got round to painting it yet) - does anyone know if this is an MOT issue? If it is, I can put the part on unpainted, but if not I'll just get it MOT'd without.

Thanks in advance!

Its only an MOT failure if they dont work and you have HID or LED lights

No, it won't be an issue.

Even with Xenons cars registered before 2009 don't need working headlight washers. I pulled the fuse on my E86 Z4 Coupe to avoid losing the cap (which seems to be a common problem on BMWs), and the streaks along the front wings! But it sailed through the MOT in May. smile

Coincidentally my E90 passed its MOT on Friday. laugh

Good luck with yours. thumbup

I don’t believe it’s a requirement for LED lights. Only HID.

My car has LED headlights, but no headlight washers. It was an option, but not a requirement.

It is a requirement for them to work if fitted not a requirement to have them when it comes to LED

Sticks.

After I'd lost the third one I had the dealers glue the replacement in. Not sure how long ago that was now.
