Likely driven. My 74 yr old mother delivers Vauxhall’s like this. Write mileage down when delivered and make sure they acknowledge the figure at the lease company. Your miles start from whatever it says. Have a good look round it for damage including tyres and windscreen too as they will check it when you hand it back.

To be fair, the lease company probably don't care; they're dealing with hundreds, or thousands, of them.

A friend has had a few lease/co. cars in recent years, each time delivered on a single-car transporter, direct swap for the 'old' car. No way of knowing what your co. will do.

Anecdotal, of course, but I had a lease car dropped off in Kendal, though it was registered in and driven up from Oxford, which is about the same distance. Main thing is my lease agreement started when I got the keys, not at 0 miles. Modern cars don’t need running in, so there was no drama there. I was more put out that the driver wanted a lift to the train station

Mate of mine had his current lease car driven up from South Wales, so just shy of 400 miles. Gave the chap a run to the train station via a jetwash ahead of checking it over and accepting it. He wasn't remotely put off by any of the above.

If its of a concern surely you should hace bought it locally and you would never need to worry about the outcome ?

I've had both with lease cars - driven delivery doesn't come off your own allowance. If it bothers you, pick up yourself from the supplying dealership and save them a job.

New lease delivery, didn’t choose the specific dealer.

When I lived in Bournemouth, my lease car was driven from Leicester. Three years later and I'd moved to Nottingham - my lease car was delivered from Southampton.
I've never had a car transported.

Can you call the supplying dealer?
