Hi All,

I'd like to ask for your assistance in identifying this vehicle in the picture below. It's out of my family photo collection, believed to be owned by my great grandfather.

The back of the photo states 1930 / 1940, i thought it might be an Austin 12/6 but I'm not sure the rear quarter roofline shape matches. The other aspect that confuses me is the side front louvres behind the front wheel.

This is the closest car i can find - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_12/6#/media/F...

Any help would be appreciated as I'd love to start sourcing one to purchase.

It looks like a 1930s Austin Heavy 12 Berkeley saloon to me. The louvres were later replaced by adjustable vent panels.

Thanks, Roy i think you are probably correct.

Does Heavy represent the chassis / body or engine type somehow ?
