If anyone wants a small, but good air display in a mostly Covid free place, this Thursday will be the Jersey International Air Display.

Usual attendees include the Memorial Flight, B17, various post war trainers and the Red's, but we will also have an RAF Typhoon, Swedish Draken and Viggen, P-8 Poseiden and a CV-22 Osprey.

Looking forward to it!

Will be in St Peter Port this morning but they are saying that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is cancelled due to weather.

Had the same problem when I was in Folkestone.

Shame as the weather so far has been lovely. My first visit to Guernsey, never been to the Channel Islands before.

Bugger.

The weather put pay to a bunch of aircraft, so no Osprey, Catalina, Viggen or Draken to name a few.

Dull skies with the odd rain shower resulted in some very mediocre pics, plus I'm only using a Sony bridge camera, rather than a DSLR. Excuses out of the way, onto the pics...

I managed to extend my hols in Jersey so I could watch the airshow. Was doing a flying lesson at Jersey Airport on Tuesday & had just finished when the Mustang flew in. Managed to get some pics which I'll process later.
The hotel we were in faces St Aubins bay where the display was. Low cloud so not great for an air display. Watched the Brousard & Cri Cri. The OV10 was french & he threw it around a fair bit. Watched the Chinook, then the weather broke & it pee'd down. Went back to the room & a while later the clag lifted & we heard the Eurofighter, Dashed down and got some shots. Then it was the Reds, they struggled with cloud at around 2500ft or so. But their brilliant display as always & although al the displays were to the East of the bay they used it al so we had a good view from out hotel terraces.
A shame about the no shows but the weather was marginal.
