I just got my galvanised and powdercoated rolling again. I am not an experienced car mechanic so I did it in the way the drawing showed it in the manual. Today we wanted to put engine/gearbox back in and I went to my friend and mentor with the chassis.

One of the upper front wishbones was too close to the chassis. So we had to put washers beween uper wishbone backside to get enough clearence. What also surpised me was that, at different places, I had more than 5mm play between the the bushes (not all) and the ears which hold them. Is this normal? At the lower rear wishbones I have a couple of bushes which had to be hammered in.

Who has similar experiences or have opinions having done this work themselves?

This.

It sounds like it might be missing the washers?
