Hi Everyone

Getting quotes coming in for business electricity as our contarct is due to end soon (10th September, to be exact, forgot to deal with it sooner, yep, my fault)

Currently seeing increases in excess of 40% censored based on past consumption.

Is this the norm?
Am i being shafted by the broker im using...

Is it worthwhile going to a different broker (any suggestions) for alternative quotes or am i just wasting my time and should i go with the best pricing i can get.

If theres any broker son here that would like to have look into this, our usage is:
AMR Meter
Day units: 126500
Night: 31600

I've just used Utility Bidder for my 'business' electricity - but I'm a small user (400-600 kWh / year and no that's not a mistake!)

Ours came up for renewal late August, similar consumption pattern. We ended up with a 3 year fix with SSE at 20% up on our previous 2 year fix.

I've never bought through a broker as always get better dealing direct.

I’m tempted to use Octopus, they’ve been reasonable on my home supply

PM me with details and a copy of latest bill and one about a year old to give us annual consumption and we can give you some quotes.

This.

Other brokers are available but at least this one makes the effort.

I work in the industry, normally deal with larger users.
My team can help you out.

Prices are mental, this winter, the commodity element has gone up more than 100pc over the last 4 months.
It’s not looking like it’s getting any cheaper by the looks of things.

I’m not a broker, can’t promise the cheapest price or offer advice.
But my team can quote you to see how it compares.
Note that the current volatility in the wholesale prices means that quotes are only valid for the day they are produced!
