I have just sat through his new 'comedy' Extras - what a complete pile of poo.

I dont understand what all the fuss is about - that prat owes me half an hour of my life & I want it back!

Or am I wrong?

Office very funny, everything else he has done since is crap.

Extras, was awful this evening

Yep.

The funniest parts of the office were the fact that most people can, in some way, relate to it, and the other characters surrounding Ricky Gervais.

Watched him as a "warm up act" on a channel four show about 4 years ago which has some lady on it called "daisy Donovan" and some lanky guy.

Ricky was awful as a warm up act but ..Good luck to him that he has made money etc..
but I personally cannot see the talent there or the attraction to his "comedy"

Didnt think much of Extra's but The Office was ok. For Gervais i actually prefer his stand up stuff although he's not a patch on Jack Dee

The programme was awful. The only good part was Ben Stiller's "speech" about what he could do for the orphan and getting bogged down in how good Dodgeball was on several levels. Apart from that, I turned over halfway through to watch "Two and a half men". Much funnier:
"You remind me of my fifth husband"
"Really? How many times have you been married?"
"Four"

I thought the office was rubbish and the only funny thing he's ever said was on Johnathon Ross when commenting about charity wrist bands. He said he had one but had lost the Locker key

Well I really enjoyed it. I'd read a bad review and wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly suprised. It was just as full of all the social faux pas type comedy but from a slightly different angle and it certainly seems like the guest stars are going to be getting all the best lines. Ben Stillers exagerated character definitely had echos of David Brent.
Best bit was right at the end

Stiller: Who the hell are you?
Gervais: Nobody
Stiller: So who am I?
Gervais: Is it Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember?
Stiller: Is that supposed to be funny?
Gervais: You tell me, you were in it.

Ricky Gervais, on the other hand, didnt even raise a chuckle from me!, disappointing!

The only moment I laughed out loud. Shame the rest was so average.
