That's awful. I guess the news is too new for details, but all the same, sympathies go out to family. Too many of these threads coming along.TUS 373 said:

My thoughts too, and really quite disturbing. Another tragedy for another family. My deepest sympathy to them.
Without wishing to be morbid, I just wish there was something that we could do with this information. Are there lessons to be learnt? Does someone need to look at these incidents and pick out common themes / circumstances , any factors that could have a bearing and some which might be modifiable.
Clearly there are obvious issues such as road conditions and driver ability / experience, but are there associated factors which are less clear but which if identified might inform all of us and make our driving and enjoyment of these fantastic cars safer and less tinged with tragedy.
Things that we might be able to look at could include promoting driver training (yes I know that's already out there), better understanding of aspects of passive and active saftey / protection. Any thoughts?
Without wishing to hijack, following Tahitis comments, it would be entirely appropriate if all TVR's bought new or from dealers came with a ride drive course factored into the price.
Perhaps in decades it will come to pass for all powerful motors on sale, I dont see it happening as mandatory in todays world though.

I think it is all down to the power and not
much to do with lack of abs,traction control,airbags etc.Have a look at the link below, I went there a couple of weeks ago for a door module and while they
had a Tuscan in they also had 500 Porsches as well(click on Porsche and scroll down)I'm pretty sure
if you made a comparison between numbers sold and
and numbers crashed all fast cars would come out
pretty badly as it's a law of physics thing.

As I understand it, the new Marcos comes with a day or half-day with their own driver? teaching you to drive the car. BICBW.

I would not wish anyone to think that that was what I was implying, categorically it was not. If you read my post I was purely interested in raising the issue of whether there were any lessons to be learnt, if only we did know a little more about what actually happened and why.
