Advice on accessories

After lots of help from this forum, I have gone ahead with a V12S with sportshift.

I will not be using the car much over the winter, so am looking for a bit of advice on:
- battery conditioners (to plug into 12V socket rather than to the battery?)
- indoor car covers.
- any preferred insurers
- last one might be controversial - Aston Martin Owners’ Club

Would anyone have any recommendations / views based on their experience?

Not looking for any name and shame, simply positive experiences. Thanks for your help.

CTEK MXS 5.0 is the charger I use. Cheaper than the same units rebadged as AM

Insurance will vary greatly depending on many factors. I am just about to reinsure my DB11 and the range is 616 to 1800 ! Ask Locktons (a broker) to give you a quote. They wont be the cheapest, but their AM policy is very comprehensive.... European cover/Track day cover/Agreed value/ genuine parts/fully comp cover to drive someone elses car.

Firstly congratulations.
+1 for the CTEK MXS5 - along with all the connections ,cigarette lighter connector , and extension cables you could need , Amazon should be your friend .
Inside cover -Aston would be delighted to relieve you of a lot of money -I would try Classic Additions instead or Specialised Covers.
Insurance , everyone's own circumstances and underwriting parameters will differ so again +1 to go via a Broker but no harm in trying Lockton's through the Club etc.

+1 on the CC Charger. I've used it for a year now and no issues, works perfectly and very easy to set up.

Congratulations - I have the same car.

CTech 5.0 - plugged into the socket in the boot
Any generic indoor cover made for the car shape
Used to be Admiral - now Classicline - so many variables, shop around
AMOC - joined a year ago and it’s been excellent. I have a classic Aston too, club caters for all generations of cars. Lots of shows and meets all over the country.

Consider a leather case for the glass key as well. Worth the money in my view, as it means you actually end up using the nicer key.

Also, as you get to know the car, consider a secondary decat. Takes it to a new level re sound. AM dealer should do it for <£700. Depends on any neighbour considerations of course. They’ll be before and after videos on FaceTube. &#128522;

Looney Tunes - a leather case seems like a very sensible move, given my clumsiness.
V12Vman- joined the FB group - a whole new world of chat
Phil74891 - secondary decat appeals hugely - I will wait until I have the car on the drive and judge the noise level.
I have neighbours beside me in the Kent, not sure they would love the sound as much as me.

Just waiting for all the preparation to be finished by the dealer… patience is a virtue they say!
