X3 2017 20d Re-map

Checked back and found some old threads, but wondered if anyone has had a recent engine re-map on the 190bhp 2.0l BMW diesel engine?

Remap Kings are claiming 190 —-> 231bhp and 400 —> 462Nm torque, which on the face of it seems decent for their current offer at £ 288 incl. VAT

They also claim up to 15% fuel economy improvement, which is impossible to back up with so many variables in driving conditions..

Any recent experiences?

Never heard of remap kings - but darkside developments are well versed in bmw and vw tuning, but you pay more for their services

Is it an auto or a manual?

I ask because I believe the 8HP45 box is only rated to 450Nm - so ask the tuner about warranty against lunching the gearbox.

No, me neither and I’ve mapped a few BMW’s over the years but it’s been a while.

They seem to get a lot of good reviews though.

It’s an auto, so I’ll be checking that out for sure, thanks for the heads up!

guys, remaps... is it worth it?

Never done before, and not keen to do whilst car in warranty, but very keep to get my M40i ticked up a few more notches. Can someone give me a quick pros/cons?

Pro’s .. it may go quicker

Cons .. you’ll have no warranty
