Kurust On Subframe

As the title really, has anyone used Hammerite Kurust on their Vantage rear subframe?

I guess the key here is the subframe only having light rusting rather than heavy corrosion but would be interested to hear any thoughts on it or from those having used it. The product itself gets very good reviews.

I don't have an Aston, but have used Kurust in the past in the application you mention.
I didn't even need to repaint but you may choose to..

Thanks, it was recommended to me by and Aston Specialist followed by a wax treatment, all very cost effective as opposed to dropping the subframe and sending it away for shot blasting and powder coating. Was told it would last a good 3-5 years if the car is driven in the salty UK road conditions over the winter period, longer if it's not driven a lot in same conditions.

I appreciate this is in no way quite the same league as the rear subframe, but I used Kurust on my V12VS front grille screws and around the edges earlier this year as both had begun to rust.

I didn't bother with any repainting either as the finished effect is identical to the original colour grille anyway, so I just applied a couple of coats of clearcoat once it had dried. 6mths on and it still looks like new.

Want to see rust ,buy a AMV8 like I have (1974),most of car is steel ,only body is alloy ,where there’s steel there’s rust ,getting on top of it ,even removed original under seal which had surface rust in places ,used Dulux metal shield -undercoat and top coat ,both are kilrust paints and will use fish oil in box sections after more sections replaced ,than the big bare body repaint ;this should last me til I kick the bucket .
