I need some help please.
I don't have a cryptocurrency account and I need to deposit €5000 into a wallet and I'm struggling.
Any advice and how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about it, the spammers don't really have evidence of you jerking to porn from your webcam.

They also do not actually send the evidence to your Facebook followers.

Sign up to Binance - take 2 minutes.
Deposit.
Send.
The end.

Only if the funds are coming from another wallet - I suspect most providers are stopping deposits of FIAT to Binance now in the UK at least.

Plus don't they need a scan of your passport as well to validate your details? I seem to remember when I first opened my account I could only transfer £500 at a time?

Plus, as others have said there is a good chance your card provider may have blocked Binance anyway.

You will need that for most I suspect, well at least the ones I would attempt to trust with that figure!

I'm sure you are an intelligent and appropriately cautious person, and have satisfied yourself that this is a sensible transfer to a trusted third party.

As the list of valid reasons for somebody with no previous crypto exposure to transfer funds to a cryptowallet is very short indeed, and the risk of being scammed is correspondingly very very high.

Please don't be offended if I am telling you to suck eggs. But also, please be very very careful that you know what you are doing.

Someone asks for £5k.

If you give them it, you know what you’re doing!

Try bittylicious or whatever it’s called. Send a small test payment first to check. Then send rest.

PS, if you really are being extorted for whatever reason, by definition it’ll never be paid off, unless the extortionist is a simpleton.

I appreciate the concern and sensible replies.
I’m not being extorted, nothing like that at all.
It’s a trusted third party and I’m happy to proceed.

Binance need to validate my account and I’m going to miss my deadline by then.

You could try some of the other big exchanges, coinbase, crypto.com, kraken etc. No harm in signing up and seeing which one validates you first.

Are you absolutely sure this transaction you are doing is legit?! Because your willingness to take up the offer of some random on an internet forum makes me doubt your judgement.

Definitely, definitely this. The limited information we've been given just doesn't smell right at all and as said, jumping on this (clearly not serious) offer and throwing your email address out really doesn't give me any confidence.

OP, why can your transferee not accept anything more standard (and safer) such as Paypal?

Sounds sketchy AF. What's the urgency for "missing the deadline"? Got to be something dodgy if they're insisting on crypto and no other option. Even if you open a new account with Kraken or one of the other 'easier' exchanges for UK folks, they hold on to your initial deposit for about 10 days before releasing it into your account for use. 5k euros you've no chance of being able to do anything with that quicker than a week at best. You might be able to do it on localbitcoins site or Bisq but you'll pay for it in significantly higher fees and Bisq has their fair share of scammers.

What coin are they wanting? If it's one of the privacy coins like Monero then it's definitely something sketchy af laugh .

Indeed; we all know the primary use of Bitcoin et al is to avoid the regulated and traceable banking system, ergo it is used mainly by people who are doing something they shouldn't!

Jesus - give it a rest man.

OP Binance validation wont change the fact you may not be able to purchase crypto from them using a UK bank account.

Be v careful.
