The Sunday after BBWF I am escorting a group of 3c`s TVRCC members on a rumble through Brecon Beacons and on to Cardiff for an afternoon out in a rigid hull inflatable.

My problem is I am not sure where it would be reasonably safe to park several TVRs for approx 3 hours, whilst out on the boat, near the Techniquest building - as I believe the boat leaves from Harbour Drive?
Be grateful for any info from locals who know the area at all.

To be honest fella that particular part of Cardiff changes every time I go there!

Turn up one week and you have a nice car park, turn up a week later and they have put a bloody great office block or trendy flats in it's place! - seriously.

I will see if I can reccy it in the week for you.

There is an outdoor pay and display around the back of techniquest. Not sure how safe it is but it is overlooked by the St Davids hotel and some rather posh flats or apartments as I believe the city folk call them. There is a multi story opposite techniquest but not sure if it is one of then secure jobbies.

Edited to add there is also an outdoor pay and display near the assembly building but not sur if they are covered by camera's as they are so close to the gas and air shop where our leaders meet.

The mini multistory by techniquest I believe has a security bloke partroling around but as it a proper multistory can be a little tight to hoon around in.

Ain't tried the wedge in a multistory before anybody tried?

Also, if there is an event going on down the bay, parking can be a mare depending on what it is.

There would appear to be acarnival in the area on the Saturday ?

Thanks for the info guys very helpful - I`m exactly sure where Bay Island Voyages boat is moored - I think its at the end of Brittania Street (Harbour Drive)?
So we need to park as near there as possible.

Be arriving 12:30 Sunday and getting on boat at 1:00 for 2 hrs out at sea round Flatholme & Steepholme islands

PS there might be a vacant seat or two if anyone is interested in blowing away the Ettington hangover from the night before!
